Navigating the BESS Market
In this webinar, Ewout and Manuel talked about the Reflex real-time battery optimiser. This new software solution can be used as a ‘trading bot’. Both for backtesting and benchmarking trading strategies based on current intraday order book data and for the actual optimisation of a battery. Reflex uses FlexPowerHub’s specialist knowledge of the balancing energy markets and applies this to KYOS market optimisation. KYOS thus offers a genuine software platform for BESS optimisation via SPOT and balancing energy markets (also known as ‘multi-market optimisation’).

The Future of Time Series Management

In addition to the benefits, the webinar will also show an example using the FlexPowerHub SaaS solution for the balancing energy market. PICASSO & MARI - now it's getting serious
Martin Simmterstatter (Managing Partner cognify GmbH) and Bernhard Gotthard (….) talked about the changes planned for the balancing energy market in the future in our update webinar on the modalities of the new market design. The European harmonisation of the markets – keyword PICASSO & MARI – will result in numerous changes for all market participants.
Can 15-minute products still be handled manually at all? ....
….. These and other issues are occupying all market participants before the changeover. Of course, it is still possible to calculate bids in 4-hour blocks and simply multiply them. However, this moves the labour market further and further away from the optimum. The clear winners will certainly be the companies that have strategically considered a new workflow and implemented it by the time it is introduced.
